A Tale of 2 Admirals - Enemy Frequency

~~Enemy Frequency Intercepted: Begin Transmission~~

As the tale of 2 admirals begins I find myself with a lot of ships to paint. This is a blessing and curse, it's nice to have the ships to play with if needed but, it also makes progress quite challenging as a mass of unpainted ships aren't exactly a good motivator. The Tale should hopefully fix that!

The Rules

"This tale will run for 12 months. Each month, we must paint a set number of points of models, and post photos in a blog post at the end of the month. Because real life gets in the way, we will have two "jokers" that allow us to take a month off, if we have not been able to get what we aimed for painted. For the purpose of this tale, we have assigned SAS tokens a value of 5 points each."~~Whyarecarrots

What am I painting?

I have approximately 3000 points of Russian Coalition models unpainted. I'm currently aiming to complete 300pts per month with two jokers. It's possible that I'll be able to pick up the pace a little but I always feel like there are a million demands on my time and I'd rather keep painting consistently than push myself and risk burning out.

The Russian Coalition

Here pictured is the largest game I've ever played of dystopian wars with my Russian fleet facing the combined might of Chinese and Japanese forces, yes those are giant mechanical squid.

I have the following to paint:

1x Moskova Dreadnought 320 pts
1x Boradino Battleship 195pts
2x Magadan Submarines 360pts
2x Azov Battlecruisers 240pts
2x Krichev Heavy Bombers 250 pts
2x Pesets Submarines 120pts
3x Rudnitsky Repair Cruisers 150pts
3x Tambov Gunships 270pts
3x Suvorov Cruisers 210pts
4x Onega Light Cruisers 240pts
3x Chany Submarines 150pts
4x Nikel Frigates 120pts
4x Novgorod Frigates 120pts
10x Mezen Corvettes 200pts
10x Veliky Escorts 250pts (There actually might be a couple more or less than this I haven't had them all out on a table for a while)

I will be starting with a large number of frigates for my first month (December 1st), as shown by the above photo, I painted a lot of big ships first...

Thanks for dropping by, Russia Out!

~~End Transmission~~
